Why Peacock Pavilions Is the Perfect Place for Wild Women to Retreat

If you've ever designed a retreat or public event, then you'll know how key it is to host it at the "right" venue that's going to evoke the "wow" factor for your guests.

Our "Relax, Reconnect & Reawaken Your Wild" is being hosted at Peacock Pavilions, in Marrakech from 20-26 August 2016.

Marrakech is filled with beautiful, spacious and creative venues, but somehow, this one hit my heart. The description alone of a "Do-Good-Hotel" for modern nomads and those with a creative talent was enough to tell me, "this was it".

When I was there in person this November, I felt it deep down, that this was a place ripe with the conditions to facilitate a magical experience with 10 woman ready to let go of the old story, and return to their creative core.

Part of the attraction to the space, came from it's Co-Founder, Maryam Montague. I learnt about the Interior Design taste she has, the Design book she's written, the lifestyle blog she writes, the private souk for gypsy/boho-loving women she sources and designs for, the Humanitarian work she does, and that she's a mum of two. (She's since also founded yet another business called Red City PR!).

I felt even more compelled to host the retreat there when I learnt it would help the Project Soar organisation she runs, that empowers girls through creativity, movement and health.

I sensed Maryam was a multi-passionate and multi-tasking Wild Woman who would have designed this space, which is also her home, for what Wild Women want when they take the time to disconnect from the City.

When you do so much for others, you need a safe-haven to listen to the earth, and get reconnected to the deeper part of yourself underneath all the busy doing.

I wanted a venue for this retreat that would offer the space for total relaxation, deep exploration, inner growth, renewed wilder energy and I found it here.

Peacock Pavilions provides the grounds that enable the perfect balance for personal space, connection to nature, and communal gatherings to encourage a sense of sisterhood.

We're encouraged to slow down, to rest by the pool or in beautiful spacious rooms, to move our bodies in the Arabian yoga tent by sunrise or sunset, to stretch our strength in the private gym, or to be entertained in the outdoor cinema too.

We've places to wander in the olive-grove gardens, by beautiful tiled-fountains, taking in the viewing points of the Atlas Mountains, and occasionally offered the chance (by the gentle animals), of a cuddle or two.

Comfortable chairs and inspirational lounges at every turn offer the luxury of space to be still. To rest, think, read, write, reflect, talk, observe and let the beauty of the experience sink in.

The Moroccan-themed tables and candlelit dining tent are gathering points for holistic women who want to nourish themselves with homegrown food, fresh teas and colourful juices. When the mood takes us, try a new cocktail or two!

It feels the perfect space to connect with ourselves, each other, and feel ourselves relaxing and releasing the Wild Woman within and awakening our creative soul.

Even if we only chose Peacock Pavilions, that would be enough. But, add into the retreat experience, a visit to the Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, the anicent medinas and souks steeped in history.

This place has born stories of Wild Women who stopped to smell the spices and steal loved-one's glances, long before our time.

We are of her lineage because we too are curious, creative souls, modern nomads of today's world.

We are Wild Women who know it's our time to create, impact and flow.

We are women with a powerful mission that know we need time every year to come back to our soul-centre, to ask ourselves, are we showing up on this planet as the shape and energy of the Wild Woman we really are?

If you've felt drawn to explore this wilder part of you, with wild sisters, on Moroccan soil, then this is the retreat and venue for you.

Our Early-bird offer has been extended to 10 January as we want to ensure you really book this self-investment with ease. If you book up with a friend, you both receive a complimentary private coaching session with Marie and healing yoga and movement session with Deborah, during the retreat.

Go to our "Relax, Reconnect and Reawaken Your Wild" retreat page for full details. If you know you're ready to book, go to reserve your spot here.

N.B. All rooms come with twin luxury beds as these photos were taken when I visited in between retreat dates in November 2015.
