As creative, entrepreneurial women with big hearts & an even greater mission, we must first love & care for ourselves first.
Self-care is and always will be the centre of any business or startup.
We are our best asset ladies, and without energy, or wellness, not only will we suffer, but so will our creativity, and our chance to complete any mission in business.
Wild Women Do will always champion the self-care plan before the business plan; will always encourage you to put yourself first before your business, even if that may seem tough to do at times.
You love what your business can do for you – the potential that you are working hard to bring to fruition – the abundance, the freedom, the creativity, the connections, the experience.
But your body, will love what you can do for it more.
Take a moment.
Check how your body is feeling right now.
If you're in a place to do this (or do it afterwards):
- Close your eyes.
- Mentally scan down your body from head to toe.
- Where do you notice any tension?
- Where is there emotion being held?
Consider what it is your body is telling you YOU need this weekend more than your to-do-list, your business plan, or your cash-flow.
Taking action in your business is crucial, I understand that, but if you're in any way feeling:
- worn out,
- are feeling niggling pains or stresses in your back,
- or clenching in your jaw,
- or tension headaches more than usual...
It's time to listen-in and rest.
Freedom in business & life comes when you are able to wake up & choose what you will do with your day but also have the health & energy to be able to do it!
Yes, it can feel selfish to rest (especially if you've family to take care of), but please, do what you can, to give yourself one day without obligation.
Do what YOU need to do to help your body feel free from aches, worries, stresses. Your business will cope without you for 1 or 2 full days. I promise.
You will feel more refreshed, relieved, reinvigorated to get back to creating something wonderful, to doing business with those people you love to serve – only after, you take time to love yourself first.
