Are you resisting the business you once loved and designed?

Are you wondering what happened to the dream you once set out to create and experience in your "freedom" business?

When you took the courage to startup, you may have had the fuel in your belly pushing you forwards to bring life to your creative ideas, and to manifest the freedom you imagined running your own business would bring you.

Like in love, with business comes challenge and change.

How we deal with those challenges and change is what determines if your business and motivation sustains itself to carry on doing what you thought you wanted.

Like in a relationship that feels like love is lost, it's time to decide, do you want to accept your situation, change it, or leave?

Are you considering any of these questions:

“Why am I putting myself through this? It’s too hard."

“What’s the point in slogging away when no-one really knows I’m here and I’m not earning enough for the work I'm putting in every day and night?"

“Should I just go get an employed job and let someone else take all the responsibility?"

If so, I'm going to invite you to remember:

1. You are capable of doing anything you put your heart and mind to.
2. You chose freedom because your creative ideas are worth being birthed.
3. You are living your purpose and learning every step of the way.
4. You are in control, and you can design your business the way you want to.
5. You are not alone, and there are peers, support and resources to help.

I know these are words you know!

You know what to do. Let your intuition guide you.

What is it time for you to stand up for and do?

Decide you and your ideas are worth it.

Choose to learn how to cope with business challenge and change.

As a creative woman, you might not want to do business, but you need to fall back in love with it again! Your business is what is giving you the opportunity to birth any idea and impact the way you want.

If that matters to you, then decide what it is you want and need to learn (or delegate) to be skilled and have the resources in business to enjoy your business journey once again.

There are more commonalities between creativity and entrepreneurship than you may realise. When you embrace that idea, you don’t see a separation between you, the creative, and you, the business woman.

Understanding business and becoming skilled at it, doesn’t mean you suddenly lose your creativity. In fact, it might make you more creative!

(If you don't believe me, consider what skills or mindset do you need to be a creative or innovator? What skills or mindset do you need to be an entrepreneur? Yes, there are some differences, but ultimately, they're all about taking an idea into reality to inspire or serve.)

Your creativity is being passed through you. So why not pour your creativity through every aspect of your business vessel too?

I'll share with you that I'd fallen out of love with Wild Women Do earlier in the year when I was working so hard on so many things, and not seeing the return I wanted. But, it's because I'd defaulted into old habits of resisting the business woman I know I am capable of being. I'd also forgotten that I AM the creative too, not just there to help others to create.

Taking a break from London and spending a whole month on retreat in Marrakech in July helped remind me of what I already knew. It's up to me to make my business experience as creative as I want to be. It's my decision to make time to create. It's my choice to learn what I need to carry on having the freedom I want.

Once I remembered this, I could take charge again, like I help my clients do.

It helped me to walk my talk, and to love all parts of my business because I view my "business tasks" as "creative tasks" and as "freedom enablers".

Will having that perspective help you too?

You've worked hard to set up your business and poured your heart and soul into making it work. If you don't want to give up on your autonomy, your chance to be creative, and have the platform to express it in a way you want, then don't!
