A Life Lesson on Time & Love

This is a heart-softening one, so thank you for being open to reading it.

Nicky died on Saturday. It was her funeral today. She is (can't say was yet) the sister of a very good friend. 43 years old, a wild woman, a mum, a sister, a friend, a daughter. We found out about the ALS test result the day of Sarah's shop launch. Within 3 months, she is gone.

There are many who leave this life too early, unexpectedly, with no forewarning and not enough time to do what was wanted. Then, there are those we watch suffering for far too long. There is never enough time at this stage.

Since I found out of Nicola's passing, I have cried tears and tears, in empathy and sympathy. I don't want anyone to have suffered or to suffer, young or old.

It has sent me into a period of reflection and multi-appreciation. Reaching out for friendship, to forgive, to forget petty arguments that don't matter. I've felt guilty for having the tears – "it's not my loss" I've thought, but it is, because a friend has lost, and that matters to me too.

It's propelled me into realising we waste so much of our time when we are here.

We always have enough time to do what we want. If we decide we want it enough.

Even if the reality of our day is busy multi-tasking, there is always enough time and a way to change your routine.

We must CARPE DIEM and remind ourselves of the why. This is our responsibility to live and love with all our will. This is our duty.

We are here for a purpose – there is meaning to each of our lives. We have more available to us than we ever give ourselves permission to enjoy or experience.

We often put barriers in our way, often internal ones. Even the external barriers are often there from a previous inner limiting belief that told us we couldn't do or have {that thing we wanted}.

Our heart is a miracle machine who feels more than we express.

Our body is stronger than we enable it to be while we're here.

Our lungs have a capacity for deeper, calmer breaths, if we remember.

Our intuition was created for a purpose yet we distrust it too often.

Our mind is more powerful than a computer yet we hold it back.

Our planet is more beautiful than we allow ourselves to go see.

Why? Enough of the limitation already. Our life timeline is limiting enough!

We must DO everything possible to be our version of well, to live our version of wild, to love unconditionally, to have the home that comforts us, to travel further, to have the family, to relish our friendships, to enjoy our time – if that's what we want.

We must decide to CREATE our ideas (the ones we love) and put the time in it takes and repeat for each idea we have – if that's what we want.

We must choose to build the business to NOURISH us, to be supported by a team who helps us, to have a platform to release our ideas, that pays us to thrive and inspire others – if that's what we want.

What do you want?

I urge you, to let go of the attachment to the barriers in your way, or to the limiting beliefs you're not yet ready to reframe. There may be real obstacles, but do what it takes to find a way around them.

What you want is possible. It is within your reach. There are steps you can take. If you don't know what those steps are yet, your task is to find out.

You won't ever regret finding out the steps, and taking them, and making the most of your time to live and love as you wanted. No-one leaving this planet ever does.
